Get creating! Shapes and text paths are oftentimes used to create decorative elements on pages. Here is a quick and easy way to create themed decoration for your pages. This technique is great for creating stamps as well.

### **Video Notes:**

Insert > Shape> Ellipse (or any other desired shape via "Shape from art kit"), Click Create.
Make your shape the desired size for your page.
Copy (Ctrl-C) and Paste (Ctrl-V) your ellipse/shape
Reduced the size of the copied shape
- Use the Quick Access Toolbar to arrange the elements horizontally and vertically.
- Repeat if additional space is required between the two shapes.
Select the larger shape, right click> Text> Format> Position text along shape.
- Type and format text.
- Click on "more options"> Relief, then adjust the relief so that the text appears between the two shapes.
- Adjust the "Spacing" if desired.
- Adjust the Placement on path as desired.
- Click OK.
Select the smaller shape, right click> Text> Format> Position text along shape.
- Type and format text.
- Reverse path direction
- Adjust Placement on path so that the text is diagonally across the text of the larger shape.
- Click on "more options"> Relief, then adjust the relief so that the text appears between the two shapes.
- Adjust the "Spacing" if desired.
- Adjust the Placement on path further, if necessary.
- Click OK.
Fill each shape with desired color, gradient, photo, or embellishment. You can also3 make the fill transparent.
Place an embellishment or monogram on the center shape.
Apply any shadows to layers, if desired.
Select all elements, right click> Grouping> Group.
Position your text dial on your page.

Note: If you resize your text dial after grouping, and then ungroup it, you will need to readjust your font sizes and placement.
