With just one photo and a few steps, you can create a quick page layout that is a standout design. This quick page features the Threshold Filter and the Paper Rip tool. Video Notes:

- - Add a photo to the workspace.
  - Make the photo 12x12 and center it on the page. With the photo selected, go to the Quick Access Tool Bar, set the x and y axis to 0 and size the photo to 12” wide and 12” in height.
  - Using the yellow cross hair, adjust the photo to the desired placement within the photo holder.
  - Pick a focal point in the photo to highlight.
  - With the photo selected, go to the Cut Ribbon > Cutters > Shape > Rectangle. Use the square cutter and adjust it to highlight the focal point in the photo.
  - Select “Keep the shaded area” (or the appropriate selection) and click on copy. With the copied section of the photo selected, add a 1 pt stroke from the Quick Access Toolbar. For now, leave the stroke color black.
  - Select the bottom image.
  - Go to the Filter Ribbon, Stylize and select Threshold Filter. Sample a color in the image. Adjust the threshold slider to the desired effect and click ok.
  - Add a rectangle shape behind the photo. From the Insert Ribbon > Content > Shape > Rectangle. Adjust the size so there is a small margin on the top, left and right of the top image. Extend the bottom of the shape below the photo for an additional cut that will be made later. Remove the stroke from the rectangle. Change the fill to the same color used with the Threshold filter.
  - From the Elements Panel move the shape between the two images.
  - Make any sizing and placement adjustments to the shape.
  - Cut the bottom of the shape with the paper rip tool. With the shape selected, go to the Cut Ribbon > Straight > Paper Rip. Adjust the cutter on the bottom of the shape and cut.
